Why small group or one-to one yoga?
The trend in the last few years has been for large classes of 30, 40 or even 50 students. This is fine if you are naturally fit and flexible. However, as physiotherapists will tell you, it often leads to injuries, some serious, for the rest of us. After all, traditionally, yoga was always taught one to one, and with good reason. It was recognized that the teacher needs to be aware of every student, their physical and mental makeup and their individual needs. This can only be done in small classes or with individual tuition.
The first class of Yoga for Life Balance is free
In this session, we will discuss your current health issues and what your intention is in doing yoga. With a one to one session, we will then have a lesson during the remaining time available. In a group class, you will join the normal class. This way, you can decide if yoga is really for you.
Important Points:
• You can decide if you want to buy a yoga mat before the first session. If you’re not sure, you can use one of mine. For hygiene reasons, however, a yoga mat will be necessary in subsequent classes.
• Do not eat for at least 60 minutes before your yoga class.
